Blue Margarita

You can’t have a 4th of July celebration without a little tequila. But not just any tequila drink will do for Independence day. It has to be used in a way that helps you feel festive which is exactly what this Blue Margarita was created to do.

Some of the best 4th of July cocktails are red, white and blue. If you wanted to have a tequila filled 4th of July party, you could do red pomegranate margaritas, white coconut margaritas and these blue margaritas. If you were having a big party, you could even create pitchers of each drink. Then guests could serve themselves.

This blue margarita recipe is a take on classic margaritas with the addition of Blue Curacao. This blue liqueur has an orange flavor and is artificially colored. It’s best for tropical style drinks like these margaritas and Blue Hawaiian cocktails.

The color of this blue margarita kind of reminds me of the ocean. Makes me want to take a tropical vacation and enjoy it on the beach. Sigh… If only. Wouldn’t that be the best way to enjoy 4th of July. Fireworks on the beach, cocktail in hand. Paradise.
