Although this Cherry Colada Cooler is missing the “blue”, we think it’s the perfect July 4th drink. It’s deliciously sweet and smooth and can be easily made in large quantities and stored in a beverage dispenser.
I had a very similar drink while vacationing in Jamaica, but it was called a Miami Vice (which is basically pina colada and daiquiri swirled together).
Because it’s served over ice instead of blended, you can think of it as a Cherry Pina Colada with a kick!
Cherry Colada Cooler
Ingredients
1 part Malibu Coconut Rum
2 parts pineapple juice
1/2 part grenadine
coconut cream
ice
cherries, for garnish
Preparation
Shake rum, coconut cream, and ice in a cocktail shaker. Pour into a highball glass. Top with pineapple juice, grenadine, and more ice, if needed. Stir and top with cherries.
Fill your glass around 10am on July 4th and drink. Rinse, lather, repeat until the fireworks show is over.
Cheers!
