New Year’s celebrations are the perfect time to break out the bubbles. You could drink just Champagne but that’s a little boring. And we don’t like to be boring. Instead, we present to you this Citrus Champagne Punch.
It’s bubbles mixed with vodka. In our book, that equals fun.
For the vodka, I used Absolut’s Ruby Red Vodka which is a grapefruit infused vodka.
For the other citrus flavors, Triple Sec, orange juice, and fresh squeezed lemons are added.
Topped with champagne it creates a Citrus Champagne Punch guaranteed to please you (and a crowd).
I may or may not have drank more than half of this punch the night I made it for a group of friends.

I used Korbel’s California Champagne Organic Brut for my punch and it paired nicely with the citrus flavors. Our friend, Sommelier Rachel Voorhees says that you could use Champagne, a domestic sparkling wine like Mumm, or even a Prosecco.
Garnish the punch with slices of orange and lemon to add some color to the punch bowl.
When serving, either garnish the glasses with a slice of lemon or even a scoop of blood orange sorbet. I served mine with the sorbet and it was delicious. Plus the color was nice with the little pinkish ball in the glass.
- 1 cup Absolut Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka
- ½ cup Triple Sec
- ½ cup fresh squeezed lemons
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 bottle of Champagne
- Slices of lemon and orange for garnish
- Optional: blood orange sorbet
- In a punch bowl combine vodka, Triple Sec, lemon juice, and orange juice.
- Add Champagne and garnish with slices of orange and lemon.
- To serve ladle punch into glass and garnish with either a slice of lemon or a scoop of blood orange sorbet.
