In the winter I always receive dozens of fresh lemons from friends. One of my favorite ways to use them is with this lemon drop martini. If you have fresh fruit on hand you can make a variation such as a Raspberry Lemon Drop Martini or a Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini.
But really, whenever you have fresh lemons on hand this Lemon Drop Martini recipe should be your first choice. It’s delicious with the Cointreau and the lemon sugar rim.
Lemon Drop Martini
4 ounces vodka
1 1/2 ounce Cointreau
4 ounces fresh squeezed lemon juice
Place all ingredients into a shaker with ice
Shake
Rim glasses with fresh lemon and and then dip in a mixture of lemon zest and sugar (see below)
Pour (makes 2 martinis)
Lemon Sugar For Rim
Zest of 1 fresh lemon
2 Tbsp of white sugar
Mix together on a plate
Cheers!
