Pear vodka was the star in the pear ginger cocktail. It’s being put to good use once again in this Pear Martini that’s both fruity and floral.
For this pear martini, I used ABSOLUT Pears vodka. It’s made from natural ingredients and has a refreshing pear flavor that lasts long on the tongue. I’ve tried a few of the different ABSOLUT vodka flavors and have liked them all. This pear vodka is a really good match for the floral flavors of elderflower liqueur. I use St. Germain elderflower liqueur for my cocktails.
I also added some pear nectar to the recipe really bump up the pear flavor. I chose Santa Cruz Organics pear nectar. It’s actually made with pears which is a good sign. I suppose I could have juiced some fresh pears instead. It would probably change the flavor some but I bet it would be good. Try it if you have a juicer and some fresh pears.
For the garnish, I went with an edible pansy flower. Mostly because I thought the drink needed some color. And because flowers are pretty. You could also garnish with a thin slice of fresh pear. Or you could garnish with a lime wheel. That would also add a little bit of color.
