Raspberry Lemon Drop Martini

Once again I received a whole bunch of fresh lemons after a trip to California. Instead of making a Lemon Drop Martini or a Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini with the lemons, I decided to make a Raspberry Lemon Drop Martini.

After 2 failed attempts using Chambord Liqueur, I switched to fresh raspberries and was so much happier with the final product and you will be too.

Raspberry Lemon Drop

Ingredients

3-4 fresh raspberries

2 ounces Raspberry Vodka (I used Smirnoff Raspberry Vodka)

Juice from 1 freshly squeezed lemon (1 1/2 to 2 ounces depending on lemon)

1 tbsp simple syrup

Lemon wheel and fresh raspberries for garnish

Preparation

Muddle raspberries and pour them into a martini glass.

Pour Raspberry Vodka, fresh squeezed lemon juice and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker and add ice.

Shake and pour into martini glass over the muddled raspberries.

Garnish with a raspberries on a skewer and a lemon wheel.

Cheers!
